Jeon Do Yeon and Jo Jung Suk Win Best Acting Awards at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, Han Sun Hwa in Tears

On May 5, the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards was held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul. Following last year’s format, the event was hosted by Shin Dong Yup, Suzy and Park Bo Gum.

In the film category, Jeon Do Yeon (Revolver) and Jo Jung Suk (Pilot) were honored with the Best Acting Awards.
Jeon Do Yeon shared, “Revolver was a project that both the director and I decided to shoot briefly and lightheartedly during a time when we had no work. I’m grateful that people discovered a new side of me through it. I’d like to thank all the actors who participated, the staff I worked with, and the audience. Mom, I won an award. Thank you to those in heaven and my family. I look forward to meeting audiences again through great projects.”

Lim Ji Yeon, who starred alongside Jeon Do Yeon in Revolver, was seen tearing up, drawing attention.
When Jo Jung Suk was announced as the winner, his Pilot co-star Han Sun Hwa let out a scream of joy. Jo Jung Suk said, “Thank you to my senior and junior colleagues, and to the director. I honestly didn’t expect to win. Personally, this project was a challenge — I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. I approached it wondering if I was being too reckless, but this award feels like recognition, and I’m truly grateful. I wanted it more than I realized.”

He continued, “To my beloved family, my dear Gummy, and our daughter Yewon — I love you. I will continue to be an actor who dares to take on new challenges. Thank you.”
The Baeksang Arts Awards were established to promote the development of Korean popular culture and the morale of artists, recognizing excellence in television, film and theater. First held in 1965, this year marked the ceremony’s 61st anniversary.
